Post-Spawn Pike

Pike are one of the first fish to spawn each year, often spawning in tributary streams and back waters while ice still covers the main lake. Mark and Jake Romanack travel to Lake Nipigon in western Ontario to sample the region’s post-spawn pike fishing opportunities. The pair target creek mouths and use a combination of sucker minnows and over-sized soft plastics to sweet talk wide shouldered pike into showing their true colors.
